CHICAGO CELEBRA IL CENTENARIO DELLA SCOMPARSA DI GIACOMO PUCCINI CON UNA SERIE DI CONCERTI DEL DUO JAZZ ITALIANO B.I.T."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Performed by Danielle di Majo\u00a0(sax) and\u00a0Manuela Pasqui\u00a0(piano), the live concert \u201cPuccini, My Love\u201d blends the ever-green melodies of Puccini with modern jazz improvisation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of\u00a0Italian composer <strong>Giacomo Puccini<\/strong>, the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago presents the live concert\u00a0<strong><em>Puccini, My Love<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>performed by\u00a0<strong>Danielle di Majo\u00a0<\/strong>(sax) and\u00a0<strong>Manuela Pasqui\u00a0<\/strong>(piano).\u00a0The initiative will tour three cities in the Midwest: Chicago (Fulton Street Collective); Cleveland (Bob Stop); and Milwaukee (Artlitlab).<\/p>\n<p>What happens when improvisation meets 19th century opera? When\u00a0jazz meets Puccini? Something incredible and unique happens, giving birth to the project\u00a0<em>Puccini, My Love<\/em>\u00a0by the Italian duo\u00a0<strong>Back-In-Time\u00a0(B.I.T.)<\/strong>. The evergreen melodies of one of the most important and influential opera composers of all time tie to the sensitivity of two modern improvisers. The concert is a tribute to Puccini, an avant-garde composer who, at the turn of two centuries, represented the Italian Opera.<\/p>\n<p>The first concert, opening the series, will be held on <a href=\"https:\/\/iicchicago.esteri.it\/en\/gli_eventi\/calendario\/concert-puccini-my-love-chicago\/\"><strong>Thursday, May 30th<\/strong><\/a> at <strong>Fulton Street Collective<\/strong>, in Chicago. The artists will then move to Cleveland, where they will perform at <strong>Bob Stop<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/iicchicago.esteri.it\/en\/gli_eventi\/calendario\/concert-puccini-my-love-cleveland\/\"><strong>Sunday, June 2nd<\/strong><\/a>.
