Screening of the film White Noise (Rumore bianco, 2008, 90 min) by Alberto Fasulo

In northeast Italy, the Tagliamento River is tucked away in a secret spot, flowing from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. This poetic documentary focuses on this majestic waterway, and the people of the region—spirited and storied—who live alongside it. A sensitive and ambitious audiovisual experience, the film evokes the magic of the natural universe, as well as themes of memory, work, tradition, and change. Italian with English subtitles. Co-presented by the Italian Cultural Institute and Cinema/Chicago, on the occasion of the International Summer Screenings Program 2015.  Free and open to the public.
