Florence, the Heart of Renaissance

Jon Guido Bertelli, from Florence, Italy and academically trained there and in Oslo, Norway. Following a few years as an Art Director / Graphic Designer he chose to pursue his passion for photography. His commercial work has appeared in numerous national and international publications, and his list of commercial clients includes, among others such prestigious names as: Nissan, Honda, Suzuki, Isuzu, IBM, Toshiba, Motorola, Bell Cellular, Coleman, Samsonite, Budweiser, Coors, Molson and Labatt’s, Wines and foods of France, Glenlivet, Gilbey’s, Heinz, University of California, Oregon Health & Science University, and the Italian and French Trade Commissions.
His exhibits “Zapatistas, Heroes from the Last Century” has received excellent reviews in London (UK), Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto (Canada), California, Las Vegas – Nevada, Arizona, Texas and in Mexico. The project was chosen to be part of the Focus 8 Exhibit 2010 exhibit in London, England and mentioned as one of Torontoist (Toronto list) 2011 Must-See Shows at the largest annual Photography festival in the world. His project “Vancouver, City of Contrasts” is now on tour, while “Florence, Capital of Italy” was recently inaugurated in November at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC. Both projects are receiving excellent reviews and feedbacks.
His art prints / posters are international best sellers; with “Curiosity” the playful photograph of a black kitten peeking into the frame topping the chart. He has won recognition for his work, winning awards in the U.S., Canada and in Europe.
A proud member of the Societá delle Belle Arti Circolo degli Artisti “Casa di Dante” Firenze, Italy and elected delegate for the “Fiorentini nel Mondo” (Florentines in the World) for San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Bertelli resides in Texas.
