Lecture

Rodrigo Rodriquez, Board Member of “Fondazione Triennale di Milano”, entrepreneur, and recipient of the ADI Compasso d’Oro in 2016

Born in Roma in 1937, Rodrigo Rodriquez receceived a Degree in Law at the Università of Roma, in 1960 and a Master in Business Administration at IPSOA (connected with the Harvard Business School) in Torino in 1961.

From 1965 to 1968, he served as Manager of the Department of Organizational Structure and Job Evaluation at 3M Minnesota Italia s.p.a. In 1969 he entered the furniture industry, as Deputy Managing Director at C&B Italia, a position he held until 1972; from 1973 to 1980 he served as Managing Director of Cassina, Italy, and continued in the same company, as Vice Chairman of the Board and President, until 1991. In this capacity he guided Cassina to become a leader in the design furniture industry, developing its internationalization. In so doing, he also served as a Director for Atelier International USA and Cassina Japan, both Cassina’ subsidiaries. In 1973 he promoted the creation of Marcatré, which, as a Chairman, he brought to a co-leading position in the design office furniture market, until the voluntary liquidation in 1996.

•Member, Jury International Prize Dedalo Minosse for Commissioning an Architectural work
•Member of the Board of “Fondazione Triennale Design Museum”

A complimentary shuttle will provide transportation for interested guests from a location in downtown Chicago (exact location to be determined) to the IIT campus and back to Chicago upon the conclusion of the event.
