DRAWING STORIES – THE EVOLUTION OF ITALIAN LANGUAGE IN COMICS.
Virtual Exhibition & Webinars

October 19 – November 15

DRAWING STORIES – THE EVOLUTION OF ITALIAN LANGUAGE IN COMICS is a digital, interactive exhibition and a series of webinars organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC and Toronto, in cooperation with Romics – International Comics, Animation, Cinema and Game Festival. This event is part of the 20th Annual Italian Language Week in the World.

The exhibition offers a virtual journey through the profound changes that the “ninth art” has experienced in recent years, starting with the role of the writer. It centers around the works of Tito Faraci (writer, screenwriter for Disney, Astorina, Sergio Bonelli Editore, and editorial curator for Feltrinelli Comics), and will feature 30 art works by authors from the most important Italian publishing houses.
Three webinars, accessible until Nov. 15th on the exhibition platform and social media, will focus on the changes taking place in Italian and international comics and graphic novels, offering a glance behind the scenes at comic books and their narrative language and rhythms. Featuring Tito Faraci, Alex Bertani, Barbara Baldi, Sergio Brancato, Igort, Mario Gomboli, Giuseppe Palumbo and other Italian authors. The webinars will be presented in Italian with simultaneous English translation.

The webinar will be posted on the Italian Cultural Institute’s website and social media channels starting on October 19.
