The Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago invites you to celebrate the opening of its new premises at 150 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1580, with a special Open House on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m.

The evening will feature the opening of A Palm of Victory, the first Chicago exhibition of acclaimed Italian artist Emilia Faro curated by Maria Chiara Di Trapani.

The exhibition brings to life an imaginative palm grove, where shapes and colors compose a landscape dominated by the palm tree, a symbol of beauty, elegance, grace, and stability, capable of evoking distant lands and fiery skies. The artworks are imbued with powerful symbolism linked to the tree’s ability to bend in the wind without breaking, serving as a metaphor for resilience and rebirth. The works on display encompass a wide range of artistic mediums, including watercolor, video, and sculpture, all united by the motif of the tree of life. Through these distinct forms of expression, the viewer is invited to experience the feeling of standing beneath its fronds, immersed in their movement.
