The Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago is delighted to present an evening of music with Sara Rotunno, an Italian jazz vocalist, composer, and arranger, whose artistic vision brings together the expressive depth of jazz, the soulful textures of neo-soul, and the fresh sounds of contemporary music.
On October 30 at 6:00 pm, Sara Rotunno will take the stage at the Concert Hall of Columbia College Chicago (1014 S Michigan Ave), for a special trio performance, joined by Miguel de la Cerna on piano and Eric Hochberg on double bass.
Free concert. Registration recommended.

The concert is part of AIR – Artists in Residence, a project promoted by MIDJ – Italian Jazz Musicians, with the support of SIAE and in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Europe Jazz Network. Established to support the international mobility of Italian musicians, AIR fosters encounters between artists and local music scenes, encouraging cultural exchange and promoting contemporary Italian music abroad.
Blending vocal interpretation, composition, and arrangement, Sara Rotunno has developed a distinctive artistic voice through collaborations, original recording projects, and notable achievements, including winning the Young Composers category at the 2026 Contrapunctum Jazz Contest.
The concert offers a special opportunity to experience her unique musical vision and discover the vitality of Italy’s contemporary jazz scene in a setting that celebrates international dialogue and artistic collaboration.
