Rai Radio 3 International Opera Competition – III edition
Registration open from 25 October to 22 December 2023
The opera competition Voci in Barcaccia. Largo ai giovani! of Rai Radio 3 returns for the third time with a new edition to be discovered. Enrico Stinchelli will be at the helm of this new adventure.
If you are between 15 and 31 years old and you are an opera singer, you can enter the competition until 22 December 2023. You can find the rules on RaiPlay Sound and you can apply by writing to the email address vocinbarcaccia@rai.it.
We are looking for new voices, 36 to be exact, for the most beautiful opera arias of all time! To judge them, there will be prestigious names of the world of opera and classical music.
Rai Radio 3 continues to focus on young talents who, once enrolled in the competition and selected, from January 16 to May 16, 2024 can participate every month in a live from Sala A in via Asiago 10 in Rome.
The closing evening will also be for this edition in collaboration with the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome thanks to the support of the superintendent Francesco Giambrone.
Each evening six candidates will perform: the winner or the winner will participate in the closing evening, on May 16 2024, during which the winner of the event will be named.
Also this year Voci in Barcaccia. Largo ai giovani! in addition to giving an opportunity to the 36 selected voices, thanks to the collaboration with the most prestigious Italian conservatories, has decided to host the best instrumentalists selected directly by the directors of each individual structure involved. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
