Chicago Opera Festival 2022

This year the three-week festival will stage Gioachino Rossini’s “L’Inganno Felice” and Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Corsaro”. The Chicago Opera Festival will also pay tribute to one of the greatest Italian opera singers, Renata Tebaldi, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth.

Rossini’s “L’Inganno Felice”
The opera, premiered in 1812, tells the story of a faithful wife, unjustly accused of adultery, attempting to regain her beloved, who has presumed her dead for ten years.

Renata Tebaldi @100
The Chicago Opera Festival celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest Italian soprano, Renata Tebaldi, with a recital that features arias, duets, and ensemble pieces for which she is most known:
