An official Chicago Architecture Biennial Affiliate Partner (October-November 2015)
The Italian Trade Agency is proud to be a Chicago Architecture Biennial Affiliate Partner. The 2015 Inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial, one of the most important international events of contemporary architecture, will launch in October 2015 and run through January 2016. The title of the first ever edition of the Chicago Architecture Biennial will be The State of the Art of Architecture.

On this occasion, the Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture and the Italian-American Chamber of Commerce Midwest, is organizing Spotlight on Italian Innovation and Sustainability, a series of related events during October and November 2015, including exhibitions, lectures, and film screenings. ITA salutes Baukuh, Armin Linke, PIOVENEFABI, Stefano Boeri Architetti and Studio Albori who are among the Chicago Architecture Biennial’s more than 60 official selected participants representing over 30 countries.

Building the Expo Milano 2015 exhibition

Building the Expo Milano 2015 is a resized exhibition highlighting the advances and achievements of Italian architecture and its uses of the latest materials used in creating the MADE expo. The original exhibition took place in Milan (March 18-21, 2015) and documented the entire process from the creation of the idea to the realization of the 25 national pavilions and 6 corporate pavilions that are part of the EXPO Milano 2015, highlighting the construction elements and technologies applied to achieve the different effects needed. The exhibition was curated by Professor Luisa Collina and the Consortium POLI.design of the Politecnico di Milano. Presented in partnership with POLI.design – Politecnico di Milano.
