In the magical Naples of the 1980s, where Maradona is a divinity, Enrico dreams of becoming a DJ. The homemade mixtapes he makes for his friends are hugely popular, but it isn’t easy for a boy from the bassi (the poor, ground-floor dwellings) to make his talent known. With the help of his brothers, Peppe and Angelo, he manages to set up a small music shop where he sells his compilations under the brand “Mixed by Erry.” What begins as a game in the alleyways of Forcella soon turns, unexpectedly, into a legendary and overwhelming adventure. “Mixed by Erry,” although an emblem of counterfeit music, becomes the first “label” in Italy, with a production that goes beyond national borders and transforms a small local business into an empire. But their success does not go unnoticed…“Mixed by Erry” tells the rise and fall of Erry, the first “pirate” in the Italian music industry, and of his brothers. A story of passion and dreams, a sensational tale that revolutionized the concept of piracy and brought music into everyone’s lives.
