Meet Tiziana Amicuzi, Creative and Digital Art Director and Production Designer

On the occasion of the 2nd edition of FARE CINEMA*,
Creative and Digital Art Director and Production Designer Tiziana Amicuzi will give a lecture entitled, " Still Image Frame: Playing the Space, Inventing Worlds. Cinema, Performing Arts and New Media Scenography." The lecture will be given in Italian with simultaneous English translation by Dr. Lucia Marchi, DePaul University.

The decisive contribution of digital innovations in the evolution of scenography has determined the birth of new formats both in television and film. The new forms of invention of space linked to multimedia aesthetics have modified the scenographer's job. Even the simple use of mobile phones has changed and modified the perception of the viewer.
Topics covered will include: the scenographer's role in the new media age; transmedia scenography: from film to scenes of complex, imaginative universes; the digital revolution: the interactive drama of videogames; cinema in the age of the internet: the power of interactive media; fashion film and web series; the role of the spectator.
* FARE CINEMA is a special event dedicated to Italian film industry professionals, highlighting their talent around the world. As part of this initiative, over 100 Italian cinema ambassadors will travel the globe to talk about the professions of filmmaking. Coordinated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, FARE CINEMA is organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes throughout the world, Luce Cinecitta’, ANICA and Afi, to promote the quality of the Italian movie industry abroad.
Tiziana Amicuzi studied architecture and digital directing at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. She is an expert of new digital technology for live scenes, a video artist and newmedia designer. She currently teaches courses on new media, video, animation and graphic design at the Istituto Europe di Design. She is co-founder and creative director at CitymakersGT.
