Inspired by the interconnections between two countries, Italy and the United States, which fostered the rise of extremely dynamic social and cultural movements with great historical impact, Moto Continuo: Sparks of Dynamic Cultures —the theme that will accompany the initiatives of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago in 2026—explores the concept of movement in its various meanings: not only a physical and visible act, but also something abstract and conceptual. A Moto Continuo made of transitions and transformations, of drives and currents, which have influenced the cultural development of two countries bound by a shared history.
The theme will be accompanied by an original illustration by Elisa Macellari.
Becoming a member of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago allows you to download two e-books and two audiobooks per month from our online digital library, featuring a network of over 6,000 Italian libraries, have access to Italian newspapers included in the digital newsstand, and participate more actively in the life of the Institute.

Students enrolled in ItalCultura language courses at the time of registration will receive a 30% discount on all membership levels.
