Sanremo Giovani is the renowned music competition held annually as part of the Sanremo Festival, a key platform for showcasing new Italian music talent. Winners of Sanremo Giovani gain the opportunity to reach a broader audience and launch their careers on the international music stage.

The mission of the Sanremo Giovani World Tour is to promote and highlight young Italian musical talents, introducing them to international audiences while strengthening cultural ties between Italy and Italian communities worldwide. This initiative is made possible through a collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, RAI, and the network of Italian Cultural Institutes, underscoring the commitment of these institutions to promoting Italian music culture on a global scale. The initiative is also presented in collaboration with the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans (JCCIA).

The Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago is thrilled to present this event, which is part of a broader program dedicated to Italian music, art, and culture. The concert will be a must-see opportunity for music lovers to experience the latest expressions of Italian pop music—a genre that continues to evolve while remaining true to its roots.

Alex Wyse, stage name of Alessandro Rina, is a young Italian singer-songwriter with over 81 million streams on digital platforms. After graduating from BIMM school in London, he was selected as a contestant on the TV show Amici 2022 thanks to his song “Sogni al cielo” (produced by Katoo). “Sogni al cielo” quickly achieved gold certification, followed by the release of “Tra Silenzi (Roma)”, “Ammirare Tutto”, “Accade”, and “Senza Chiedere Permesso” (written by Michele Bravi). During the finale of Amici, he presented his latest song, “Non Siamo Soli”, which became the title of his debut EP. The EP reached the top of the FIMI chart and was followed by a summer 2022 in-store tour with over 20 dates, as well as a live tour across Italy. In November 2022, he released his first album, “Ciò Che Abbiamo Dentro” (certified gold), preceded by the single “Mano Ferma”. The last single from the album, “Dire Fare Curare”, featuring Sophie and The Giants—one of the leading names in global power pop with over 600 million streams—was released in early 2023. On October 27, 2023, he returned with “Un po’ di te”, followed by “La mia canzone per te” on December 1. At the beginning of 2024, Alex Wyse held a series of very intimate live performances in the cities of Milan (with two sold-out dates), Turin, Rome, and Bari. His summer single, “Gocce di limone”, released on June 21, 2024, was performed live on many stages across Italy. On October 25, 2024, “Amando si Impara” will be released, serving as a preview of “Rockstar”, the song with which Alex Wyse has been selected for the “Nuove Proposte” category at the 75th edition of the Sanremo Festival.

Maria Tomba is a young singer, born in 2002, who has caught attention for her vibrant personality and unique style. Originally from Verona, Maria began her artistic journey at a young age, nurturing her passions for music and fashion. Her career took a significant turn with her participation in the TV show X Factor in 2023, where she introduced herself with the memorable phrase: “My name is Maria Tomba, and I dream of a world tour called ‘Maria Tomba è morta’.” During the show, she captivated the audience with her infectious energy, vocal talent, and signature “nightwear” outfits. Maria stands out for her creative and ironic approach to music. Her songs, such as “Crush” and “Goodbye (voglio good vibes)”—which secured her a spot in the Nuove Proposte category at the 2025 Sanremo Festival—reflect a colorful and enthusiastic worldview. With her unique style and ability to blend contemporary melodies with lyrics that convey positive messages, Maria Tomba is establishing herself as one of the most promising and original voices in the new Italian music scene.

The singer-songwriter Settembre is proving to be one of the most promising revelations in the Italian music scene. Born and raised in Naples in 2001, he has a gritty voice and a unique talent for expressing the emotions of Generation Z. From a young age, he took singing lessons and participated in various competitions and talent shows, always managing to stand out, from Io Canto to The Voice of Italy and X Factor. He developed his artistry by drawing inspiration from Italian singer-songwriters, from Pino Daniele to Lucio Battisti. The young artist is winning over audiences by blending the Neapolitan dialect with Italian songwriting in a fresh and modern style, continuously growing his following on social media and increasing his streams on Spotify and YouTube. At the 2025 Sanremo Festival, Settembre won the “Mia Martini Critics’ Prize and the Lucio Dalla Press Room Award in the Nuove Proposte category, announced live on the Ariston stage. For his song, he also received the ninth edition of the NUOVO IMAIE Enzo Jannacci Award, the SIAE-Roma Videoclip Revelation Award, and the RTL 102.5 #RADIOFESTIVAL Award.

The friendship between Vale LP and Lil Jolie began eight years ago in their teenage rooms in the province of Campania. Since then, they have shared trips, experiences, moves, and the big dream of music. In February, after participating in Sanremo Giovani, they will be the protagonists in the Nuove Proposte section of the Sanremo Festival with the song “Dimmi tu quando sei pronto per fare l’amore.”

Born in 2000, originally from Caserta and now living in Milan, Lil Jolie (born Angela Ciancio) grew up as a rebellious child who broke the rules and started learning guitar just to defy routine. In 2018, she began to gain recognition on SoundCloud, where she caught the attention of the urban and hip-hop scene, collaborating on features with Carl Brave and Ketama126 before releasing her debut album “Bambina” in 2022. In 2023, she was admitted to Italy’s most famous TV talent show, Amici, where she stood out for her shy but determined personality and the elegance of her lyrics. After this experience, in May 2024, she released the EP “La vita non uccide,” which includes the single “Kiss me.”

Born in 1999, Vale LP, the stage name of Valentina Sanseverino (Naples, 1999), is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper. Mixing rawness and poetry with a unique attitude, Vale LP is one of the most interesting figures in the new wave of Italian pop, known for her irreverent and straightforward personality. Her sound combines hip hop and singer-songwriter elements with strong references to popular culture and influences ranging from soul to R&B to funk. Her songwriting is intense and open, embracing diversity and freedom of form in an alternative and honest narrative approach, creating a space that engages with the personal. After releasing some tracks on SoundCloud, in 2021 she participated in the TV show X Factor, reaching the finals with her original song “Cheri.” In June 2023, she released her first EP, “e sono felice,” six tracks telling the story of her journey up to that point. 2023 was a year of intense work, writing, live performances (including opening some dates of Madame’s tour), and a very formative experience at Sanremo Giovani, where she presented “Stronza” and reached the final stages. The song was included in “Guagliona,” her first album released in May 2024 under the Sugar Music label, driven by the single “Fortuna.” In the same month, she performed both at the Primo Maggio concert in Rome and at the Mi Ami Festival in Milan.
