The seventh edition of the “BookTuber Prize” National Ideas Award is organized by the Center for Books and Reading (CEPELL) of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and Merit, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The competition represents an opportunity to promote book reading habits among young people, developing their digital skills through the use of technology.

BookTubers are “video bloggers” active in the publishing field, who share their reading experiences by recording videos and uploading them online. The competition, inspired by these new professional figures, is aimed at teens and young adults aged 11 to 21, who participate either in agreement with their school institution in Italy and abroad or independently, with the intention of encouraging careful and conscious reading of a book, followed by writing a review to help make Italian publishing products—whether printed or digital—better known abroad. The competition, therefore, aims at developing comprehension, synthesis, critical thinking skills for young audiences, while stimulating their digital knowledge through the use of technology.
